Laceworks Laughs – Friday nights in Nottingham

Laceworks Laughs is a regular live stand-up comedy night at ARC Space in Nottingham city centre. Each show features a professional headline act, a strong supporting line-up and an experienced MC, bringing high-quality comedy to an intimate 50-seat room in Hockley.

Expect a lively Friday-night atmosphere, big laughs and a carefully curated bill of comedians from across the UK.

Previous headliners and performers have included award-winning acts and comedians seen on national television, including BBC’s Live at the Apollo.

Shows typically run from 7:30pm to around 10pm, with doors opening at 7pm.

Advance tickets are usually £7.50, with limited availability due to the small capacity of the venue.

ARC Space is an independent creative venue located in the heart of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter, just a short walk from the city centre bars and restaurants.

The intimate layout creates a close connection between audience and performers, making every show feel energetic and immersive.

Long Eaton Comedy – Third Thursday of the month

Den of Laughs is Long Eaton’s longest running monthly comedy night, Thursdays at the Barge Inn. Each night features a professional headline act from the UK comedy circuit, supported by strong up-and-coming comedians testing out new ideas, along with newer acts. It’s a relaxed, friendly room that attracts comedy fans from Long Eaton, Nottingham and Derby.

The show runs from 8pm to around 10:30pm and is free to attend. We operate on a Pay What You Want basis, with a suggested donation of £5 to support the acts and help keep live comedy thriving locally.
Starts 8pm, Finishes 10:30pm (doors 7:45pm)

Venue: The Barge Inn, Tamworth Rd, Long Eaton

The Barge Inn is a traditional community pub with a good range of beers. We use the upstairs function room, which has a cosy atmosphere, loved by comedians and audiences alike.

Ram Comedy Festival’s Comedian of the Year and New Act of the Year competition returns. Over 90 comedians compete across nine heats for a place in the festival finals in June. Each heat features a mix of new acts and rising comedians performing short sets, all hoping to progress to the next stage. We select audience members to take part in the judging panel.

Last year’s Heat winner in Long Eaton, Chloe Reynolds, went on to win the entire competition, so this is a great chance to see emerging talent early.
