General Questions:
- What kind of comedy do you feature? (Stand-up, improv, sketch, etc.)
- Our club nights are stand-up, we try to have a mix of styles, and sometimes have musical comedy or comedy magicians.
Our festival shows are more varied and can include panel shows, improv, sketch shows and alternative comedy alongside solo shows and mixed bill standup shows. - What is the age restriction for your shows?
- This varies depending on show and venue. Please check ticket details
- Is there a dress code?
- We do ask that you wear clothes, how they look is up to you.
- How long are your shows?
- Our club nights last for 2 and a half hours, including 2 breaks. Our festival shows are normally 1 hour long, with no break.
- Do you offer food and drinks?
- Our shows are in licensed venues, you can buy drinks at the bar. Some venues might also offer food.
- Is there parking available?
- This varies from venue to venue. There’s free on-street parking outside The Barge Inn and Beeston Victory Club. There’s on-street parking outside the Royal Standard, Derby, it’s free after 8pm.
- What are your hours of operation?
- Club shows normally start at 8pm and finish around 10:30pm. We do advise you get there for 7:45pm to give you time to get a drink at the bar.
- Festival shows have varied start times. We advise you arrive 15 minutes before the show to get drinks.

- How can I purchase tickets?

- Festival shows are available on the festivals own websites.
- You can normally buy tickets on the door, although there is a risk that the gig will be sold out if not bought in advance.
- Do you offer group discounts?
- No, we are unable to offer group discounts. Our tickets are all reasonably priced (some of our shows are free entry / pay what you want)
- What is your refund policy?
- Can I reserve a table?
- If you have bought a ticket in advance then we can reserve a table for you, however please arrive 15 minutes before the show begins.

Performer Questions
- How can I sign up to perform at your club?
- We regularly advertise for comedians on The East Midlands Comedy Circuit on Facebook.

- What are the requirements for performers?
- The Barge Inn gig is for newer acts / new material. We have one new act slot a month, 5-7 mins (for acts with less than 20 gigs), 2 x 10min slots for more established acts, a 15min new material slot for semi-pro acts, as well as professional openers and headliners.
- Victory Club is for more established acts doing their strongest material. We have professional openers and headliners doing 30 minute sets, and middle spots doing 15 minute sets.
- We also co-host Derby Comedy open mic at Royal Standard.
- What is the pay for performers?
- This varies depending on the spot
- How do I apply to do a show at a comedy festival?
- We will create a form for you to complete. This will be available on this website and advertised on the relative Facebook forums for the festival(s).
